Learning to drive has always been a very important step to take and is no longer a luxury but a necessity to get this life skill to travel to work and for pleasure.

We have been helping people since 2005 to gain the necessary skill sets to not only pass their driving test but also be safe drivers for the rest of their lives, as learning to drive is not just about the test.

There have been a considerable number of fundamental changes in the driving test since 2005 which Alpha Driving School has kept up to date with, actively making changes to our teaching methods and content keeping up with the changes as they happened.

Alpha Driving School is on the DVLA instructors register, as Grade “A” instructor defined by the DVLA.

Since 2005 we have found that our students gain the required skill sets for driving in a smaller number of lessons by having 1.5 hr lessons. This length of lessons allows them to get back into the driving mindset after their last lesson, re-cap the lesson showing what they remember and then move forward with practise and adding in more information to push them a little more at the end, this is why we have this length of lessons listed as our standard service and priced so that it works out as a cheaper 1/2 hour rate compared to an hour lesson.

We do also offer 1hr lessons for those who do not have time for 1.5hr lessons, or have a tight budget which is not able to cover the cost of 1.5hrs each time.

As a Student of Alpha Driving School, Maidstone and Medway we provide free of charge the Theory Test Pro app which provides our students with all the required study information, mock tests and practise material to enable them to pass the DVLA Theory and Hazard Perception tests.

Also as a DVLA registered Pass Plus Instructor we can provide the additional teaching to enable students to have further training and be certified as someone who has Passed this program and should be able to attain discounted car insurance from companies who recognise Pass Plus.
